The Shifting World
We are living in a world that is shifting beneath our feet. Nations rise and fall, economies tremble, moral landmarks are being moved, and men's hearts fail them for fear of the things that are coming upon the earth.
In the midst of this shaking, the writer of Hebrews reminds us that we have received a kingdom which cannot be moved. When everything that can be shaken has been removed, the things that remain are the things that cannot be shaken.
This is why the Church must be built upon the rock of Jesus Christ and His word. Opinions change, philosophies fail, and doctrines of men crumble, but the word of our God stands forever.
Let us build our lives, our homes, and our church upon the unchanging foundation, so that when the storm is fully spent, we shall still be standing, strong and secure in the Lord.
